Your brand, on every document

Professional, credible documents build trust — and with Custom Branding your logo, colours, and layout appear on every invoice and quote you publish or preview. There’s no second template system to learn: eggz uses the branding themes you already built in Xero, so what you see in eggz is exactly what your customer sees.

Branding themes

When Xero is connected, Settings > Integrations shows a Branding themes card:
Your invoice and quote themes from Xero. Documents you publish use these designs.
It lists each theme you created in Xero by name with its logo thumbnail, and marks the one Xero uses by default with a Default in Xero badge. Themes are created and edited only in Xero (in Xero’s Settings > Invoice settings) — eggz pulls them in but is not an editor. Changed something in Xero? Click Refresh on the card to pull the latest names, logos, and default.
eggz never changes your themes. It reads them from Xero so the documents you publish and preview match your Xero branding exactly — one set of designs, not two.

Choose a default theme

Set which theme eggz applies when you publish, using the Default theme for documents you publish picker on the card. Choose any of your Xero themes, or pick None — use Xero’s default to let Xero apply your organisation’s default. Need a different look for a single document? On the Publish to Xero card of an individual invoice or quote, set the Branding theme for just that document — or leave it on Organisation default to use the default above. See Publish invoices & quotes to Xero.

View a branded PDF

On any invoice or quote that is in Xero, click View branded PDF to fetch the document exactly as Xero renders it — your logo, layout, and colours, straight from Xero. You can view it in-app and download it. The label shows when it was last fetched (as in Xero, updated {date}); if you change a theme in Xero, refresh to pick up the new look.
View branded PDF appears only once a document exists in Xero. For a draft you created in eggz, publish it to Xero first — then the branded PDF becomes available.

Plans and availability

Custom Branding is included with the Growth and Scale plans. On other plans the themes list appears greyed out with a lock — click it and eggz explains the upgrade, showing the exact price before any charge. Upgrades apply instantly, and you can cancel anytime.
On the Free plan, anything you publish still carries your Xero branding, because Xero always applies your organisation’s default theme. What Custom Branding unlocks is choosing which theme eggz uses and viewing branded PDFs inside eggz.

Common questions

In Xero, under Settings > Invoice settings. eggz reads your themes but never edits them, so you keep one set of designs rather than two. Click Refresh on the Branding themes card to pull in any changes you make in Xero.
Click Refresh on the Branding themes card to re-pull your themes. To update a document, open its branded PDF and refresh it so eggz re-fetches the latest design from Xero.
The theme you pick on that document’s Publish to Xero card. Left on Organisation default, it uses your Default theme for documents you publish — and if that’s set to None, Xero applies its own default.
If the theme picked on a specific document no longer exists in Xero, publishing is blocked with a message asking you to Refresh your branding themes and pick another. If it’s your organisation default that’s gone, publishing still goes ahead — Xero applies its own default — and eggz shows a warning so you can update your default.
No. Xero always applies your organisation’s default theme to anything you publish. Custom Branding adds the ability to choose themes in eggz and view branded PDFs in-app.
