Dashboard overview

The dashboard is your home screen in eggz. It gives you a snapshot of your business finances and quick access to upload new documents.

Analytics widgets

The top of the dashboard shows four summary widgets for the current month:
This is the default left-to-right order. See Personalising your dashboard to rearrange, resize, add, or remove widgets — and widgets keep updating automatically as new data syncs from Xero or as you upload new receipts.

Drill into the numbers

The cards aren’t just for looking at. Click a card — or a specific month, bar, or category on it — to jump straight to the transactions behind that number, already filtered for you. Not sure what a card is measuring? Each one has a small ? that explains it in plain English, plus a Show All Details link that opens the full, unfiltered list. Categories read like English, too — you’ll see “Software & Subscriptions”, not software_subscriptions.
Drill-downs follow whichever reporting view you’re in — Billed, Collected, or Outstanding — so the detail always matches the headline number above it. Your view choice sticks for the rest of your browser session, so flipping to another page and back doesn’t reset it. See Understanding your three reporting views.

Explore charts on your phone

On mobile, tap a chart to see its details in a tooltip — tap Show More inside the tooltip to open the full report. Tapping the chart itself doesn’t navigate anywhere, and only one tooltip shows at a time.

Purchases to review

If you’re an admin, a Purchases to review card can appear on your dashboard home. It lists pairs of documents that might be the same purchase captured twice, typically an invoice and its payment receipt, so a couple of taps clears them: “These might be the same purchase captured twice — an invoice and its payment receipt. Combine the ones that belong together so each is counted once.” Each suggestion shows both documents side by side with what they share (same supplier, same amount, and so on). Answer Yes, same purchase to combine them, or No, keep separate to leave them as two records. When a receipt looks like proof you paid an unpaid invoice, the card says Proof of payment arrived, and combining also marks the invoice paid. The card only appears when there’s something to review, and only for admins. Once you’ve answered every suggestion it disappears. See Two documents, one purchase for the full picture.

Upload area

Below the widgets, a drag-and-drop zone lets you quickly upload receipts. Drop a PDF or image file to start processing immediately. See Uploading Documents for details.

Recent activity

The dashboard shows a notification inbox with your most recent activity — processed receipts, sync updates, and other events.

Receipt table

Below the activity feed, a table shows your recent receipts with status, merchant, amount, and date. Click any row to open the receipt detail view.

Mobile

On mobile devices, eggz uses a simplified layout:
  • Top bar: Logo, settings, notifications, profile
  • Bottom dock: Home, Camera (quick capture), Expenses
  • Menu: The same items as the desktop main menu, including Home and Approvals, each opening its page with a tap
The camera button on the mobile bottom dock opens your device camera to photograph a receipt. The photo is automatically uploaded and processed.
