What the bank feed does

The bank feed brings your bank’s payments into eggz, refreshed every six hours. They show on Expenses, on the Bank payments tab. Only admins can connect your bank, finish connecting, use Sync now, disconnect or renew the bank feed. Only admins get the renewal email. Accountants can see the payments on Expenses, on the Bank payments tab.

Connect your bank

1

Open Settings > Integrations

Find the Bank feed card.
2

Press Connect your bank

eggz opens your bank’s screens. Choose your bank and follow its steps.
3

Come back to eggz

The card says Bank connected. eggz is pulling its payments now. It then lists the accounts it reads, by name and last four digits, and when it last synced.
If you leave your bank’s screens before you finish, the card says Finish connecting your bank to see its payments here. Press Finish connecting to carry on. To check for new payments without waiting, press Sync now on the card.

Bank payments

Open Expenses and click the Bank payments tab, or press See payments in Expenses on the Bank feed card. Each payment shows its Date, Description and Amount, newest first. Press Show more for older ones. A payment shows once your bank has posted it, dated as on your bank statement.

Renew the bank feed

Your bank shares your payments with eggz for a set time. Renew the bank feed before that time ends and new payments keep arriving. The payments already in eggz stay either way. eggz tells you when it’s time:
  • From 14 days before it ends. A band at the top of Expenses reads, for example, Renew your bank feed by 20 Oct 2026, with a Renew bank feed button. On the Bank feed card, Renew bank feed becomes the button, under Renew by 20 Oct 2026 to keep new payments arriving. Sync now moves into the card’s ⋯ menu.
  • 3 days before it ends. Admins get one email: Renew your bank feed by 20 Oct 2026. Its Renew bank feed button opens Expenses.
The date is in your organisation’s Timezone, set in General settings.
1

Press Renew bank feed

On the band on Expenses, or on the Bank feed card in Settings > Integrations. eggz opens your bank’s screens.
2

Confirm with your bank

Follow your bank’s steps.
3

Come back to eggz

The Bank feed card says Bank feed renewed. New payments keep arriving. The band on Expenses goes away.
If you leave your bank’s screens before you finish, the band and the card still ask you to renew. Press Renew bank feed again.

If the bank feed has stopped

If the time runs out before you renew, new payments stop arriving. The payments already in eggz stay. The Bank feed card says Needs renewing. New payments have stopped. and the band on Expenses says Your bank feed has stopped. Press Renew bank feed and follow the same steps.

Disconnect your bank

Disconnecting stops new payments. The payments already in eggz stay on Expenses.
1

Open Settings > Integrations

Find the Bank feed card.
2

Open the card's menu

Press ⋯ at the top right of the Bank feed card, then Disconnect bank.
3

Confirm

eggz asks Disconnect your bank? Press Disconnect bank to go ahead, or Keep it connected to leave it as it is.
The card then says Disconnected. Its payments so far stay on Expenses. eggz stops reading your bank, and See payments in Expenses still takes you to the payments. If the card says Your bank didn’t disconnect just now, your bank feed is still connected and the eggheadz are on it. Contact support if it’s urgent. To connect again, press Reconnect your bank on the card.

On the forever free trial

The bank feed runs for 30 days on the forever free trial, counted from the first time you connect. After that it pauses: new payments stop arriving, the ones already in eggz stay, and the card says Paused after 30 days on the forever free trial. Press Keep it running on Solo — $19 a month to keep it going. Paid plans have no time limit. Disconnecting and connecting again doesn’t start the 30 days over.
