What it does

Session Time-Travel takes automatic snapshots of your current browsing context (for the focused normal window’s tab set, as implemented in your version) on a schedule — for example every few minutes while enabled. Snapshots let you rewind to a recent tab layout if something changed accidentally or you want an older arrangement back.

Enabling and limits

  • Toggle Session Time-Travel in Settings under smart features.
  • The product keeps a limited ring buffer of snapshots (for example the most recent 50) so storage stays bounded.
Snapshot frequency and retention are implementation details — check your in-product Settings copy for the exact interval.

Restoring

From Settings, choose a snapshot and Restore. The extension applies the saved workspace and tab metadata. If something fails, try an older snapshot.
Snapshots are local to your Chrome profile and extension storage. They are not cloud-synced to eggz unless a future integration explicitly adds that.

Privacy

Snapshots contain URLs and titles (and any tab metadata the extension stores). Treat exported backups separately if you need to move machines — see Backup & import.
