Two surfaces, one brain
Unscrambled Tabs gives you two views of the same data:- The side panel β a slim companion that docks beside any page. Built for the everyday moves: switch workspace, glance at open tabs, ask the AI, tweak a setting.
- The dashboard β a full browser tab with room to spread out. Built for organising: folders, drag-and-drop, bulk clean-ups, and the tabs-and-resources view of each workspace.
The side panel
Click the Unscrambled Tabs icon in your toolbar and the side panel opens. From top to bottom: The header carries four small buttons:
The view switcher underneath has three tabs β Workspaces, AI Assistant, and Search:
- Workspaces is home: your Open Tabs section pinned at the top (by default), then Active and Pinned workspaces, folders, and the active workspaceβs resources. New creates a workspace; the folder icon creates a folder.
- AI Assistant is the chat β with a small toggle in its header to flip between AI and Search.
- Search finds workspaces, open tabs, saved tabs, and resources as you type.
The dashboard
Click Open Dashboard in the side panel header. (After you first install, the dashboard opens itself as a pinned tab so itβs ready when you are.) It has three regions:The sidebar β rail or expanded
By default the sidebar is a slim icon rail: Open Tabs at the top (with a live count of your tabs), your pinned workspaces as one-click icons, then an icon per folder β hover one and its workspaces fan out in a flyout. At the bottom: New folder, New workspace, and the theme toggle. Want the full list? Click the expand button (or pressβ\ / Ctrl+\) to pin the sidebar open: Open Tabs, your Active workspace, the Pinned section, and every folder with its workspaces β this expanded view is where drag-and-drop reordering and bulk actions happen.
The main area
Pick Open Tabs and the main area becomes the full Open Tabs view. Pick a workspace and you get its two panes, side by side:- Tabs β the workspaceβs saved tabs (click, rename, reorder, remove).
- Resources β its saved links.
