# Keyboard shortcuts

> Every Unscrambled Tabs keyboard shortcut in one place — search, AI, the workspace quick switcher, and saving tabs without touching the mouse

## The full list

All of these work from **any tab** — you don't need the side panel or dashboard open first.

  **Next workspace** and **Previous workspace** ship without keys so they can't collide with shortcuts you already use. Give them keys yourself in about ten seconds — see [Change or add shortcuts](#change-or-add-shortcuts) below. Once set, they cycle through your workspace list in order, wrapping around at the end, and each Chrome window cycles its own workspace.

## What each one opens

### Search — ⌘K / Ctrl+Shift+K

Opens search over your workspaces, open tabs, saved tabs, and saved links. Normally it opens the **side panel** on its Search view. If the **dashboard** is your current tab, it opens the dashboard's own search palette instead — same search, bigger screen. (On the dashboard you can also just press **/**.) ### AI assistant — ⌘J / Ctrl+Shift+J

Opens the side panel straight onto the AI chat. See [AI assistant & search](/help/unscrambled-tabs/ai-and-search).

  Jump to a workspace — Alt+A
</h3>

Opens the **quick switcher**: a list of your workspaces, most recently used first, with your current workspace at the top. Type to filter (workspace or folder names), use ↑/↓ to move, **Enter** to switch, **Esc** to close.

The clever bit: the highlight starts on your **previous** workspace, not your current one. So **Alt+A then Enter** flips you straight back to the workspace you were in before — tap it again to flip back. It's the fastest way to bounce between two clients all day.

### Save the current tab to a workspace — Alt+D

Opens a small **Save to workspace** picker: your workspaces grouped by folder, with a search field ready for typing. Choose one and the tab you're on is **saved into it** — the tab itself stays open, and a green check marks workspaces that already have this page. To move a tab (save it there *and* close it here), use drag-and-drop or the right-click menu instead — see [Move a tab to another workspace](/help/unscrambled-tabs/manage-tabs#move-a-tab-to-another-workspace).

## Dashboard-only keys

These work while the dashboard page itself is focused:

## Change or add shortcuts

Chrome owns extension shortcuts, so they're changed in Chrome's own settings:

    Type `chrome://extensions/shortcuts` into the address bar and press Enter.

    Scroll to the **Unscrambled Tabs** section — every command is listed, including the two that ship without keys.

    Click the pencil next to a command and press the combination you want. This is where you give **Switch to the next workspace** and **Switch to the previous workspace** their keys.

<Tip>
  If a shortcut doesn't seem to do anything, another extension or app may already own that key combination — pick a different one on the same settings page.
