# Try eggz without an account

> Drop a receipt on eggz.ai, watch eggz read it, and take it into your own account when you are ready.

You can see eggz read a real receipt before you sign up. You don't need an account or a card.

  <Step title="Choose a receipt">
    Go to [eggz.ai](https://eggz.ai) and drop a receipt on the page. The page says **Snap it, send it, sync it. Simple**. A PDF or a photo works, up to 10MB.

  <Step title="Watch it read">
    You see eggz work through the receipt: **Reading it.** → **Supplier matched.** → **Every line coded.** → **Ready for Xero.**

  <Step title="Take it into your books">
    Click **Continue — it's free** and sign in. The receipt you dropped lands in your own eggz account, already read. If you have no receipt on you yet, click **Get Started** to go straight to [getting started](/help/guides/onboarding).

If eggz can't read the receipt cleanly, you see **We couldn't read this one cleanly.** with what it did get, and you can **Drop another receipt**.

<Note>The file you drop deletes itself within 24 hours if you don't sign in. If the page says **That demo has expired**, drop a fresh receipt on [eggz.ai](https://eggz.ai).</Note>

If you already have an account and drop a receipt on eggz.ai while signed in, it goes straight into your books, the same as uploading inside the app. See [Uploading documents](/help/guides/uploading-documents).
